I can read one of the Michigan laws so as to suggest they are illegal (They are not) but I'd be reading it "Twisted".
I am a Retired Police Dispatcher, For many years the car I parked in the police lot had a ball hitch on it to tow my trailer... I never had a problem.
Oh, the law I could twist... There is a law about things that protrude FOR THE PURPOSE OF CAUSING DAMAGE TO OTHER VEHICLES..
The trailer hitch does protrude, but that is not why it is there.
