I'm also on a Mazda Miata forum, and it's surprising how many pictures get posted of a Miata with the imprint of a hitch in the hood or trunk from someone backing into them in a parking lot. It seems like lots of people these days are too busy talking on their cell phone to check for small cars. And the majority of the cases I read about are hit and run. The pickup or SUV driver didn't leave any contact info about the accident.
