I'm not sure how much difference it makes but I am using 6awg wire for that run between the battery sets. I did a little math here:

And it says I'll lose maybe 2 percent along the way. Is that a lot in a system like this? Or maybe I figured it wrong.
What sorts of loads are you powering from this battery bank? If you have an inverter of any decent size or other high-current loads (maybe a generator starter motor), the 6 gauge wire is quite likely undersized. If all you have are lights and the water pump and typical RV appliances, it may be sufficient...but larger is never worse. A rough but not unreasonable rule of thumb is that it shouldn't be any smaller than the wires connecting the battery bank to things in the rest of the RV.
