Battery charge/discharge indicator?

I'm pretty sure the ammeter in my old 1990 Winnebago Warrior is shot. It doesn't move and the needle stays slightly to the charge side.

I would like to add a display to my dashboard that has two LEDs, one lights up if the battery is charging, the other if it is discharging.

I'd like to have two of these, one for the house batteries and the other for the engine battery.

Does anyone know of a gauge/device like this?

Thanks,

Steve

  • Here is the dual-battery voltmeter I saw:

  • Why not install an inexpensive voltmeter-- give you a lot more useful information.

I thought about that - there are some nice dual-battery voltmeters.

But what I would really rather know is are the batteries charging or discharging.
