well that's kind of what i'm thinking too. at least at the start of my trip in April i'll be picking ice out of my hair (if i had any) so that's not a major problem anyhow
as it gets towards mid summer i'll be up in Chicago area then across to NY, maybe i'll get a 12V car cooler thingy then
however, i will need stable power for the wifi hotspot and something to charge my electronics, looks like a marine battery charged from the van should do that
i wonder about having an optional 2nd alternator, an alternate alternator if you will!
something that could easily be connected to the belt when needed and used to charge the house batteries. i guess it depends on the van i buy and if there's space and an easy way to fit one in.
