Taking family to dinner. Got time for a short reply.
The first question we all should've asked was... budget. Clearly it's not huge. But don't feel bad. It's still bigger than mine.
There are some big threads about Chinese gens that are Honda copies... sort of. But an $80 generator is not going to please your neighbors.
You only need a true 800W (minimum) for the 40A charger we're talking about. The Honda is 900 and the quietest thing going. If you can find a used one, you'll probably get about what you paid for it when you sell it.
If it's only the electronics, you shouldn't be abusing your battery bank much.
Also... the rule of thumb is to not let the batteries get below 50% for longevity's sake. We do 50-90% charges with a full, 100% charge every week or two. Do some searches on that.
