Battery maintainer

In storage the controller adjusts to a short 15 minute absorption at 14.3 volts. Then float 13.35 the rest of the day. Temperature compensated.

Start battery is isolated through Trik-L-Start that I think clips about a tenth off the voltage.

Works for me.

Starter battery in parallel to the same controller, setpoints "close" to where they should be :) ?

I have several Battery Tender Jrs, love them.

If you have access to 120 volts, these work great.

I run Battery Tender Jrs on everything I own. The .75A they put out is more than sufficient to keep up your batteries. On our Class A I used two. One was hardwired on to the chassis battery and one to the house batteries with the power heads in the power cord compartment on the opposite side of the RV. When I would get home I would do all the normal post trip necessities and then turn off the battery disconnects and plug in the BTs. When we were traveling and in a CG I would only plug in the chassis battery BT if we were going to be in the CG for an extended period of time. I currently have 1 car, 1 tractor, 1 mower, 2 boat batteries (still in the boat), 1 DR grader, 1 hybrid trailer and the break away battery on my 6x10 trailer on BT JRs. I have very few battery issues and never have to worry about losing an ECM because the battery dies and issues occur on start up.
I use BTs because I found an inexpensive outlet for them. There are other companies that make low amperage maintainers. The trick is the low amperage. There is no need to put more amperage in to a stored battery.

Your 2009 MH probably already has a decent charger in it to charge the house batteries. What I do is when the MH is not being used the battery disconnects are off. My batteries last several months through the winter this way. During the summer when I charge the house batteries I plug into shore power while the house batteries are being charged ,I plug a maintainer into a 120v outlet inside the MH and into the 12v plug that goes directly into the chassis battery. If I am going to use the MH I leave it connected until I am ready to leave. If I cant use it for several weeks I will disconnect power and turn disconnects off. Everyone does things differently I just don't like to leave the chargers on for weeks at a time.

Some MHs, when plugged into shore power, charge both house batteries and the start battery. I would check your system first before adding something you may or may not need.
