What is the purpose of blue tooth and battery monitoring from a device that is 10 feet away? Serious question. Does it play music or reruns of Gunsmoke? Can you not look at the monitor or is it ONLY blue tooth?
The Victron can be seen from at least ten feet and the blue lit display is very good. A single button scrolls through the necessary measurements. I have an older one without bluetooth capability but I'm not married to a phone so it would take more time to find my phone, open the app, and check measurements, anyway.
The gauges I really like are the two Simpson analog gauges I have. I can see the needle from a distance and have them installed so they are viewable through the door opening.
In truth, a simple amp hour counter and a voltage meter would suffice for me and I have two battery banks. I can control the 12V power supply from the banks with switches I have mounted at the distribution board, although I typically have both switched together. The Victron is just an added piece of convenience.
