You just can't trust me on this? If you insist on knowing:
My two batteries are on opposite sides of the tongue in separate boxes. Both feeds go to one battery, with jumpers connecting the batteries in parallel. If I switched to 6 volt batteries the feeds would be on opposide sides of the tongue with a single cable connecting the two batteries in series. It will take a lot of effort and some new cables to change to 6 volt batteries.
