Coming from a farming family we have lots of equipment with infernal combustion engines that are parked for long periods of time every year.
Neither our (entire) family nor anyone else we know use battery tenders / chargers on them. Batteries generally last so long we can’t remember their age when they’re replaced because they’re getting weak.
Ditto my airplanes, parked for 6+ months of the year, crank right up every spring.
