Battery terminals question

I need to buy a battery for my rv.
Do I hook it up with a ring terminal and if so what size ring,or do I use a regular terminal connector.
Also where do you buy your batteries and which ones do you buy

No, that blue line means to click the link to read about 'what battery?' LOL

Next time oldman please give constructive advise thank you
  • Usually the positive terminal is marked on the battery case with a +

And the negative terminal is marked with a -

The positive terminal needs a 5/16" diameter hole ring terminal

The negative terminal needs a 1/4" diameter hole ring terminal

This is for a car size RV battery

Different batteries will use different sizes I guess.. This is a spec sheet for the popular Trojan T105 battery

  • my trailer came with wires for the battery, they had ring terminals on the ends that fit nicely on a marine deep cycle battery.

For many years as a youth I thought marine battery meant it had extra threaded terminal for accessories, cuz the boats motor used the big posts for the starter.
