This is how they are now, both 6V pairs are in series. Then the two pairs are in Parallel. All four batteries are hooked together. The only thing less than optimal is that I am not going across all four batteries with either the generator or converter/charger. I'd need to extend wires to do it. Obviously the system voltage is 12V and all batteries are balancing.
I dont have any high amperage DC loads so I am not sure re-wiring is a benefit? Looking for feedback on why the two are requiring more water and if there really is a benefit to taking the time to rewire it in my scenario and usage.
I have so many batteries because I do A LOT of winter camping. Like 30-40 days camping in snow parks in Oregon. The furnace runs when it needs to. I leave it set at 65 the whole time, whether I am in it or not. I can easily go 4-5 days without needing any charge. The furnace fan is not a high amperage load, so the batteries should be able to self balance. They're just not balancing well on generator charge.
