- FishermanExplorerOn some batteries the positive are 3/8' and the negative are 5/16", others, both are 5/16. I keep a couple of each in the trailer spare parts bin.

My batts are threaded 8 mm. Standard wrench size for 8 mm is 13 mm which is almost indistinguishable from a 1/2" wrench. - ndrorderExplorerMy Centennial batteries are 8 mm. FYI
