Then how come thousands of rv'ers aren't blowing their fridges' control boards, regularly? It's because those higher voltages are not required on a daily basis. In fact, proper maintenance renders high voltage charging rather unnecessary. And on occasion when it is required, one need merely turn off the fridge, and anything else that may be effected. No biggie!
