I extended my 3 wire ribbon cable by about 5 feet, and have sensor over alternator cable.
I removed electronic guts from display and mounted them on my dashboard over my digital voltmeters. I used some smoked acrylic to dim it down as it is too bright at night.
Kind of neat seeing how much juice the alternator is making, and that it requires 4 more amps to run engine at 2000 rpm as opposed to 600 rpm.
Will move sensor to read amps into or out of battery soon as total alternator current can be inferred from that since I know what all the additional loads are at this point.
Great product. Only thing I'd prefer is an even smaller display, and red instead of green, and a longer ribbon cable as standard.
