BBQ grill support bracket?

Hi everybody!

My friend gave me a bbq grill that he wasn't using anymore, it has the support and everything, but the support bracket is on the camper he sold and he doesn't remember what type it was.

here's a couple of pictures

This is the grill support that would attach to the outside wall, look at the rail (top right of the picture)

And this is the support rail being sold by Camco, will they fit together??

  • Thanks guys, I bought it this morning, I'll let you know how it works out.
  • I bet there are only one or two RV barbecue grills on the market. so they probably all use the same mount rail. For the price I would buy it and try it. Just make sure to caulk behind the rail so the screw holes don't leak.
  • Try it just be sure to put some chaulking around the screw holes that you make before screwing in the bracket.
Personally I too don't like it tried it on my previous TT and found it not too safe. Hot bbq and flimsy holder don't mix very well, jmo.

Pix way to large to see correctly..

You need to use the pix tools and set the max width to 600.. Makes viewing much easier..

    Can't answer your question but..

Why bother mounting it to your van in the first place?

I set a grill close to my TT ONCE and learned real quick that it wasn't a great idea after I spent several hrs scrubbing grease splatters off the trailer siding :M

I cannot figure out why folks are so happy about the idea of a grill hanging off the side of a RV..

I would rather keep the mess and even the grilling smell away from my RV.. Makes for less mess and cleanup.

They do make very nice portable fold up camping tables that take very little storage and very easy clean up.

Here is one we bought at Walmart for $20..

Thanks for pointing that out, I didn't we could force the width of the image (I fixed it)

Like I said it was given to me, I have no idea or experience RVing

The bracket is only 5$ on amazon maybe I should simply try it and like you said if it's too sloppy I will use the railing for a shelf next to one of those foldable tables? Although I don't have a lot of storage in my DIY campervan :-/

And here's the other question :

...also I want to install it on the side of my Ford E250, has anyone done this before?

    Thanks!

  • Also I want to install it on the side of my Ford E250, has anyone done this before?

Maybe this will help, there are many openings on the side and rear of the cover, even tho there is some space behind the grill and the van's body
I was thinking of blocking the rear openings with sheet metal from the inside but keeping those side openings clear.

    Thanks for any help
