MEXICOWANDERER

I bought one in 2008. Was connected solely to my house for charging a flooded Wally 29 for emergency BiPAP. Voltage corrected via a five thousand dollar SOLA ferroresonant line tamer. Power filtered with a full isolation transformer. Charger lasted less than two weeks then smoked. Unable to return for warranty. This was a hundred forty dollar charger at Wally World including tax. The electrical correction protects a five thousand dollar Tectronix scope and two thousand dollar voltage regulator tester.
The light weight appeals to me. Jesús, can borrow it and take it down to the beach. I'd hate to play the part of gullible, twice. The more finished the Borg gets the more reluctant I will be to let it out of my sight.
Sounds like the HF blew the stud-type breaker as the transformer hums (according to him) but no juicy Lucy. It has a pair of 40-amp stud rectifiers so they didn't blow.
Down here, warantees about as useful as a crucifix at an ISIS meeting. I might just bite the bullet and go the Megawatt and spring wound Intermatic timer route. I need something that reliably charges batteries not a plastic art deco gizmo that is soon useful only for hurling at barking dogs. The PS plus the timer, a pair of charge leads, good clips and good quality power cord is a hundred twenty dollar investment, some assembly required. That close to the ocean, at the enramada, the air is slick with salt and humidity.
