Life changing. You never forget your first time
Right!
When I was about 5 yrs. old, around Christmas time, Dad wad stringing the tree with the old series connected strings of bulbs. He would remove a few and test on a good string, all the time me wanting to help and Mom telling Dad to watch out for me. I guess he had about enough of both of us and finally told me to "go ahead, put your finger in there". That was my first lesson about electricity. :B
Dad went on to teach me a lot more useful stuff about electricity, how it all worked, and how to basically wire a house. He was a Master Electrician and while working for GE, helped implement some of the residential products we still use today.
Over the years I've had my share of additional "lessons" like my first.
