- bcbigfootExplorerJust once, It was the voters of the United States. Ronald Regan had the solar panels removed from the White House shortly after coming to office.

No such thing in the known universe. I have never had someone come into my shop and ask for a power reducing kit. - BFL13Explorer II"It depends!"
We do not expect to be pure solar; the solar only varies how often we use the gen and charger(s). We get by just fine no matter how much sunshine we get in the so-called sunny half of the year.
On solar here from April to end of September, now into fourth year of doing this at the same off-grid campground site. With about the same AH usage it always comes out the same.
We could use more solar than we have from April to end June. We have too much solar for July-August. Could use more again in September.
Oct-March only do four days in a row in the woods (at different sites from our summer site) then go home. Don't even take the solar along as it would be useless.
On average, it turns out that about 220W of solar would be about right for 440AH of battery here in the "sunny" half of the year, ASSuming you have your generator and charger ready to go at all times.
The weatherman is running this whole thing, and he is a crazy person, not to be trusted. - pnicholsExplorer II

Very astute observation, indeed!
The only way to wrest control from the weatherman when RV'ing is to have a generator or two, or a fuel cell or two, along. By the way, one should probably not be too hard on the weatherman ... it's the sun that can't be trusted. ;) - NinerBikesExplorerI haven't been on enough big trips to be in the same boat as most of the Class A type guys that might have that legitimate beef going on. Then again, I've only been to the outskirts of Quartzsite once, in the ghetto part of Plomosa, for the Big Show.
Maybe one day... now that it's getting to less than a $ a watt for solar panels, and the price keeps dropping. - NinerBikesExplorer

If a weather scientist can't even predict the weather 24 hours in advance, within 95% accuracy, how, then, is it even possible that they can predict global warming or global cooling? - buckyExplorer IIIf you are in BC, why are you worried about Ronald Reagan? That was a very long time ago.

I simply answered the OP's question. Why would my answer worry you?
