You can pull the 2 pins on the head, then raise the landing gear a couple of inches and drive out from under it.
I have had superglide hitches for over 15 years and have never seen anything like that. Check to see if the hitch was under under size for the trailer. IE: Using a 16k hitch when a 25k was need.
