I have had superglide hitches for over 15 years and have never seen anything like that. Check to see if the hitch was under under size for the trailer. IE: Using a 16k hitch when a 25k was need.
thanks! I will forward this info on. He worked with the local retail / installer on the hitch purchase... i would hope that they guided him right (although you can never fully trust anyone but yourself!).
