Jeff, right - Ebay cobs and most others don't have a frosted glass. And it is not important as there is - usually - frosted cover on the trailer interior lights. Additional cover on the cob will only block more light. One thing I don't like in this bulb is 2W power. They don't report lumens in this particular one, but with 2W it is should be equivalent to 10 or 11W incandescent, not 18W like a regular incandescent.
