All the inverter generators are very quiet compared to the stuff in the motorhomes. Really hate the noise makers in the diesel pushers. I think they install amplifiers on the generators in allegro motorhomes.
Huuuuuh?? You've got to be approximately kidding!
The quietest built-in RV generators I've ever not heard have been in a couple of big Class A motorhomes (probably diesel pushers). I assume those whisperers must have been something on the order of 1800 RPM constant speed water cooled diesel powered generators installed deep within the chassis undercarriage areas of those Class A rigs.
The Onan in our Class C is not bad at all, either .... as installed by Winnebago well inclosed in a cabinet with none of it portruding below the cabinet like in some Class C rigs -> and I could improve it even more with some cheap sound proofing material, soom spray-on glue, and 45 minutes of time .... but why mess with near-perfection as delivered.
FWIW, I find the sound of the constant up and down of an inverter generator powering a cycling microwave or a cycling air conditioner compressor way more irritating than a constant hum.
