When they filmed the slock "Racing With The Moon" in my front yard, I spied on them. I also fed the head actor a steak sandwich after he moaned about being forced to eat from a "gut wagon". Loved how they morphed The Thanksgiving Coffee Company, into a tattoo parlor.
Later on, a movie crewman shooting a commercial for a new lemon soda pop wanted 12 8-D batteries. "We're frozen without those batteries". I traveled 15 miles to Ave O and 18th St East in Lancaster, CA. to the set. The guy wanted me to run a credit card impression on the spot and take the batteries from the bed of the Mitsubishi Mighty Max. I impressed his card and gave him a yet to be signed copy.
"I'll be right back"
The guy started screaming at me.
When I returned to the vendor's warehouse, I called VISA to verify purchase.
"We're sorry, but that account has been closed"
At least I spied on their set for two hours. The actors who verbally demanded EVIAN water in the spritz bottles for their face and hands.
And some of you wonder why I am a cynic...
