I didn't see that when I downloaded the PDF (don't have one but looked at the online manual on HF's site)... Interesting.
For the price, why change the oil at all, just run it until it pukes and buy another....lol.
I'm also wondering now if Locin is building the Pred motors for HF in as much as the motor in the 3500 appears to be the 212cc Pred motor that is bulletproof. If so, I'd follow the oil change sequence for the Pred 212 cc 6.5 horse engine.
Humor aside, I'd say using the maintenance schedule for the 212cc Pred motor would work fine.
