You should take a drive to Chesaw and have a really good burger can't miss it only place to eat in town. It's a very old mining town. My property is about 14 miles east near Beaver lake state campground. We boondock up there for a month or two in the summer, trying to get a place built up there.

Ephrata is nearly straight south from Chesaw. it is northwest of Moses Lake near I-90.
here in the US, water testing is suppose to be sent to the Clean Water division of the EPA. Many tests as you said are falsified. look at Flint, Mich.

A bit more information on my dirty water photo. I talked to the campground maintenance man and he said it was OK to flush has much as I want. After considerable flushing of my hydrant as well as other unused hydrants, the water never cleared up. After further conversation with the management, it was determined that the problem was isolated to one of the three wells. They had all the wells and plumbing interconnected at one place and were able to shut down the dirty system and operate on the remaining two. I never connected and used my own. The funny part is that nobody had a problem and didn't have a clue about the dirty water.

Thanks, sorry I just know how dangerous some water can be, In the mid west years back some people died from drinking city water. Seemed the city workers were faking water samples, (Not taking the samples, but filling in paperwork as if they had) Samples are just one of my jobs with my cities drinking water. Anyway where about is Ephrata WA? We have 14 acres in Okanogan county, near Chesaw Wa.

Don't drink/cook with water from CGs but will BATH and WASH dishes with it [emoticon]

Skin is the largest organ and stuff gets absorbed thru your skin.
Wash/rinse dishes....things from water is still on dishes etc

RV Fresh water tank is just a big plastic water bottle. [emoticon]


I will sanitize an RV potable water system when I first get it..new/used
After that only IF--BIG IF---I had an issue (bad water source)

Water at CGs is same as the water from your house.
And not much different if at all from 'bottled water'

It's hard to imagine anyone drinking brown water. My calcium comes from milk.

If you drink this water, you won't need to take mineral supplement pills! You'll get all those minerals naturally! Just think of the money you can save buying over-the-counter pills? ;)

On a more serious note, just because water may taste bad, does not mean it is bad. Really. City and bottled water has all those minerals that treatment strips out. Calcium is one of them. So we drink bottled water, then turn right around and take calcium supplements. (think about it).

My house is on a well. The water is very rich with iron (red... call it rust???) We have a whole home filtration system to remove the rust and other minerals. The water does taste different before the filtration and after the filtration, and even the color is slightly different. But neither will hurt anyone drinking it.

Would I drink the stuff coming out of the end of that hose in the photo? Answer: I'm not sure. I'd have to be there. There again, there is a difference between high concentration of minerals and unhealthy contamination. Sulfur water is the most horrible smelling water you can imagine, but it will not hurt you to drink it.
