bumping locks

has anyone ever bumped their locks on their TT's or any lock for that matter. I have been trying to unlock my compartment on my TT and today I finally gave up. I used a small screw driver and a small hammer and bumped it open. worked pretty slick but scary knowing someone can bump my locks just like I did.

    "Bumping" a lock is a method of jarring the tumblers into alignment so the lock can be opened without the correct key. There are numerous YouTube videos showing how it's done.

    that's why I changed my locks. but "bumping" throws me for a loop?

    Probably means he just pried it open, the question being why bother when everyone else in the campground would have the same key. :h
