
Too little emphasis is given to the integrity of the lug to buss and the lug to the battery interface. With hyper amperage, these junctions are given insufficient importance.
My buss are 30" x 6" by 3/4". Gold plated by AFSCO Oakland CA. Half inch by 16 TPI 316 stainless steel hardware. f I remember correctly, both buss bars cost in excess of 400 dollars just for the gold.
I traded a redesigned 20SI Delco alternator for the plating job. It charges at 22 amps at dead idle when nothing else would. Stainless serrated 316 nuts are used.
