Buying an AGM online?

So I exchanged my new AGM chassis battery, and the next one is worse than the first one. I hope I can get them to give me my money back, we will see.

But it seems that buying an ATM locally is not a realistic option. I think somebody here, maybe Landy, mentioned buying them mail order. Is that actually a practical thing? I just assumed that shipping cost would be crazy.

If it's practical, who do you all recommend? I guess I'm looking for a fresh Johnson Control battery, since I can't afford a lifeline :-)
  • I bought an AC Delco Professional AGM starting battery for my coach off Amazon last year while they were running a promotional special with free shipping thanks to amazon prime.
  • I only buy batteries from volume sellers. Volume sellers have a high turnover rate and that is what you want.
  • Hi Naio,

In what way was it worse? (Inquiring minds want to know).

    Where did you buy it?

My most recent purchase for a starter jar was from a local Autozone in Lake Mary, Fl. There were no issues with it at all.

  • If you can force yourself to afford a Lifeline, you won't be complaining about it. They ship. Sounds like you can't afford any more cheap batteries.
  • If nothing else, check Batteries + Bulbs. They carry the Duracell line and free ship to any of their stores plus a 10% discount for online orders.
