Buzzing sound from brake pedal if depressed before starting

It seems odd that the administrator would refer a search here for this thread, but would not provide an actual link? Or am I missing something?

    Thanks for the clarification.
  • don't know what vehicle or hydraulic systems you are asking about
    but on our Safari DP
the steering and brakes are powered from a 12v motorized pump
and the relay (or something) for the pump will buzz, when the brake pedal is pressed IF the engine & thus the alternator, is not running
they work but the buzzing alerts you to the fact the engine is not running
this way there is power steering and power braking even if the engine fails

Actually, it was someone else's thread that I was curious about, as I have the same issue?

I like the quote at the bottom of your post. . . me too.
