Unless some loads are on the solar controller's load terminals. :)
Main thing is not to confuse folks into thinking they can use the controller's readouts to get a battery bank's SOC, which some apparently do, not knowing any better.
One of the controllers has a second part to it that is battery only and it does the subtraction so you don't need another monitor--Kid? I'll try and find that and edit in a link.

Of course you must put everything through the shunt, same as with a battery monitor.
