Yes you can. The only thing differant about EZ lube is it has a hole drilled into the shaft to get grease into the rear bearing and then around to the front. I think EZ lube got a bad rap because people over greased and did not turn the wheel as they greased. Think about it. Your new car can't even be greased. They have "cartridges" that you replace. More of your money. But I suppose you then don"t pay a mecanic labor to grease it. Done right the grease job should last years and many miles.
