Yeah, in your dreams !
lol, I'm guessing he meant $1/watt? - Johno02Explorerbut the car's shadow will cut down on the amount of charging.
- LynnmorExplorer IICool! Instead of putting the ugly things on the roof, just cover the driveway with them. Then plug in your electric car right there.
- DuctapeExplorerI for one would be interested in panels solid enough to walk on. Then I can cover more of the roof.
Does anyone own this brand and can offer some feedback from experience? - RJsfishinExplorerQuote

Yeah, in your dreams ! - Golden_HVACExplorerI prefer to keep the rubber side down, and will not be driving on my solar panels. The reason? My panels have a clear covering that if scratched, then they will not be as transparent.
Some solar panels have more watts per square foot than other brands or materials. Some solar panels might be rated at say 100 watts, and will collect say 60 watts under diffused clouds. Others rated at 100 watts might collect 75 watts in the same conditions. I would rather have the smaller panel, even if it's performance under clouds is not quite as good. I figure that I can install about 600 watts of the higher watts per square foot panels in a area that might only hold 400 watts of the other panels.
And with the prices of panels falling to only around $1 per square foot, I will be installing more panels when I need them.

Good luck,
Fred. - Johno02ExplorerYou can walk on the SkyBridge over the Grand Canyon also, but I wouldn't, and didn't.
- Johno02ExplorerOf course you can! Just wouldn't expect them to work afterwards.
- SCVJeffExplorerIf I have to worry about driving on panels, I have a polarity problem with the coach
