Just to verify- your gens are still both running, but the overload lights are on? If yes, that rules out oil safety.
Not familiar with your AC, likely there is only one fan motor with double shaft operating internal blower and external fan. I would inspect for signs of contact between fan blade and shroud or coils. Maybe some deflection under high wind load ?
What kind of stat, mercury or solid state? Does it have a restart delay?
