if one generator struggles briefly in a parallel setup, it would cause both to go into overload.
moving at speed, a vacuum vortex behind the trailer could change the fuel/air mixture for the generators, reducing output capacity.
try running them with the choke set a little bit at highway speed, to rich up the mix.
