Can't fill water tank

After reading these comments on algae and larva in the vent, I would sanitize the system after clearing the vent.

Mine has always done that, and my vent tube is not plugged. Not sure how it ever could be plugged by a bug, since my water filler neck an the vent are behind a pretty tight-fitting, locking door panel. I've also removed my vent tube to clean it out - I do this from time to time as mold/algae grows inside of it. I use a small bottle brush to clean out the inside of the tube.

Folks have told me to get a section of hose and cut the end that goes in at an angle. Haven't tried it yet.

This...has happened to me more than once until I covered the vent with a screen filter from a hose.

Thanks for the tips. Thought it was probably vent plugged, but wanted to check with the "experts". :) Will try to unplug vent soon and let you know the results.

My guess would be mud daubers plugged the vent. trickle some water down the vent to soften it up and run a wire down it or give it a blast of air

Instead of water in your vent hole try putting a low volume of air to clean it.

Yes, likely a plugged vent, or it could be a kinked internal fill hose.

X2. Turn the water volume down and see if you can trickle the water in. That might work until you can clean your vent.
