I have a 50' 10GA extension cord that I used to use before I got my RV outlet installed. It would run 1 A/C along with the fridge and the converter (if the batteries were close to fully charged) from a 20A outlet in my garage. A 12GA cord would not. Too much voltage drop. With the 10GA, I lost about 7V under load. With the 12, almost 20V.
