Can't run A/C at home: solved -- see 8/21/16 update

Mine runs fine using a dog bone to a 50 foot 12 gauge extention to a dedicated 20 amp outlet in the garage. Even if I forget to switch off the converter. But ideally, should be 10 gauge as far as possible
