Can't run A/C at home: solved -- see 8/21/16 update

Look at any household outlet. You see those two vertical slits? Stick 'em in there. That's where the blades on any appliance plug go to get power. That other roundish thing is a ground. Don't worry about that.

You will not get electrocuted if your probes and wires have proper insulation on them.
