I missed one thing in his post. When he was wondering about if he had low voltage or a problem with his extension cord set up, he stated the breaker did not trip. THAT is a BIG misconception lots of people have about breakers. People think if they do something unsafe, the Breaker will always trip. NO. Breakers are not designed for this type problem, where you are using extension cords and such and allowing the voltage to drop and/or cause heat build up on the extension cord circuit. Also, he has an inexpensive Cruiser Trailer and this model does not have any EMS system. I would suspect, the AC shuts down from the compressor overload. He needs to respond if both the FAN and the Compressor shut down or just the compressor. IF BOTH shut down and then restart, I would STOP all operation until he checks the 120 connections at the RV breaker box and at the Roof AC unit to make sure there are no loose or burnt wire/s or connections.
