A 30 amp DRYER and 50 amp 3 prong RANGE receptacle contains L1, L2, and earth ground. No way is this even to be considered as they BOTH lack L0 NEUTRAL. Voltage reading INSIDE the rig is missing here. Without that figure enjoy the guesswork. Low voltage in the rig and low voltage at the hookup receptacle BINGO self explanatory. "I do it" is damned poor troubleshooting folks. Numbers are needed not opinions.
Granted you did specify Nema 14-30..
The problem however as I pointed out, not ALL homes are wired with Nema 14-30..
Technically you are "correct" but at the same time you are technically "incorrect".
Not blasting you, but pointing out that many non tech folks will see dryer outlet and instantly think that ALL homes have a newer 14-30 outlet with four wires.. When in fact many older homes do not.
It is bad enough that even seasoned electricians that should know better get 120V 30A RV outlet wiring mixed up with 30A 240V or 30A 120/240V "dryer" wiring and toast off folks RVs..
