The internet is full of horror stories about RV owners who have inadvertently connected a 30 amp RV to a 220 volt outlet and fried converters, fridges, water heaters, AC units and more resulting in HUGE repair costs.
In some cases, even licensed electricians have screwed this up.
Yet I am a moron, "blasting nonsense", for suggesting the OP not plug into the dryer receptacle.
