Voltage diagnosis is so critical and has been explained here in exhausting detail. Time to move on I guess.

In an inspected brand new tract home in 1983 I found FIVE receptacles daisy-chained. That wasn't the good part: the house was wired with 14/2 Romex with a 150 amp service. The owner sued the builder - outcome unknown.

Assumptions paid my way through life. Other people's erroneous assumtions that is. Cold hard fact is easy to arrive at but some folks insist their dream world is reality.
