There is no switch on my water heater -- it is propane only.
And dougrainer, I hear you LOUD and clear -- check the connections!! I do know how to look at the back of the converter box -- I would unscrew it and pull it out. Not sure how to figure out which set of wires runs to the A/C, but my guess is that the fuses are labelled and I would look at the wires that go to that fuse.
But I do not know how I would check the connections to the A/C. On another occasion (when trying to find a condensation drip), I was unable to remove the plastic housing inside the trailer to get to the guts of the A/C unit. There were no exposed screws, and I was concerned about busting the plastic housing by prying on it. If it is absolutely necessary to check the wiring inside the ceiling, I will have to take this to the dealer, which is an hour away. Not a fun trip.
However, I sort of doubt that there is a loose connection, and here is why -- we just came back from three days at an RV park (no boondocking at the beach!!), and there was no problem with the A/C. It ran perfectly. It has never given us any trouble, until we tried to plug it into the power outlet in the garage the other day. So it would be odd if a bad connection had suddenly developed between Friday morning at the RV park and Saturday afternoon at home. Possible, but not probable.
