Can't turn stove knobs

Drops of lighter fluid. The refinery valve lube oil congealed on top of the o-rings. But wait! The naptha cure is being sneered at. OK I'll save my breath. Adios.

Yeah, I didn't think of that before posting a stupid question on the interwebs. Oh wait, yes, I did, and it still doesn't turn. And the label on the stove indicates the knob should turn counter-clockwise, like it has for the last 10 years I've owned my RV.
