Ran fridge for 2 3/4 hrs. Then turned it off and let bank sit for 1/2 an hour. Voltage recovered to 12.76v... Now that's what I'm talkin' about!
It appears BFL nailed it. All these babies needed was a good cycling to get them back up to par (or pretty near that?).
So, this raises a question about floating? Would floating eliminate the drop in resting ocv's I saw?
Floating does not cure stratification, so you still have to "exercise" the batteries every so often.
My Trimetric needs to get about 15AH "over" the Zero start point before the batteries are at full SG when on solar. That takes a really good sunshiny day though. I have not bothered to adjust the Trimetric, since I already know that from previous observations.
After a while I have calmed down a bit on battery measuring. As long as they keep returning to baseline SG after various episodes, during recovery sessions, I don't care if meanwhile one pair of 6s acts differently from the other and all that. (Both sets four years old)
You can't get perfect balance, especially with the Trimetric shunt neg extra wire.
