I think I've read that rolls article before... and correct me if I'm wrong, but their saying bulk goes to 80%, and then recommending a C/10 charge rate seems irreconcilable. A 45a bulk charge on my 430Ah bank goes to over 90% soc; and that's a C/9.55 rate. Lowering that to 43a for a C/10 rate would only extend the time in bulk to further past 90% soc. So, I can't help but wonder if that formula is accurate? Was it based on the assumption that abs would begin at 80% soc, or does it apply, regardless of when abs begins? IOW, how did they arrive at that factor of 0.42?
