For apples to apples reasons, I'd rather see a side by side comparison between:
1) Two true deep cycle 6V wet cell batteries, connected in series, of X total pounds weight and ... if you could find them ... two true deep cycle 12V wet cell batteries, connected in parallel, of X total pounds.
AND .... more interesting to me ...
2) The same thing repeated using AGM batteries (this is much easier to do because both voltages are available as true deep cycle battery types).
