Go retro style. Put the solar controller at the wall end of the table in the dinette like it was a juke box music selector. Big salt and pepper shakers either side of that and your ketchup and vinegar bottles for your chips.
No need to put it under the bus getting road grime all over it through the grill vents.
You need to program the Trimetric to not do the auto-reset of the AH counter. (see the instructions on that) You need to do that anyway with solar, or it will reset as soon as the solar can't keep up and amps go negative, such as every time it gets dark.
