pianotuna - if a person had room to series 3 of the Firefly 4v batteries you would have 675ah useable at 50% discharge (1350ah x 50%) for 3900 cycles for C$3100 ... and cold weather capability?
When you series connect you add voltage not capacity. Three of the 4V batteries, series connected would result in 450AH at 12V.
Yes - correct - thanks - pianotunaNomad IIII can live with 5200 cycles at 50% discharge.
- LwiddisExplorer IIInteresting chart. One heck of a drop off in cycles between 30% to 40% and 60% discharge for Firefly.
- pianotunaNomad IIIGordonThree,
Ah. I was interpreting "light discharge" as low current--not as depth of discharge.
Light discharge to me, from my marine jar days was 20%. 50% would be just fine. - GordonThreeExplorerTrying to visit the Sacred Sun battery website, I get this.

Edit huh, the forum appears to censor the Chinese language - GordonThreeExplorer

How do you get the "light discharge" information?
The graph seems to indicate the biggest cycle life gains for applications under 50% DOD.
